Day 83 of 366: More Than You Can Chew

I have a confession to make. I don't like when people litter the outdoors with their rubbish. I have no idea how these people think. Why do they think that it is ok to just drop what they don't want anywhere around? They wouldn't do it at home. Unless they live in a dump. So what is wrong with finding the nearest rubbish bin? With this rate we will all be living and walking in one big dump soon. Chewing gum is one of the worst. It is disgusting, it sticks onto your shoes or clothes and it's a pain to get rid of. However there is one man who finds discarded chewing gum inspiring and uses it as a blank canvas for his art. His name is Ben Wilson aka Ben The Chewing Gum Artist. He uses the shape of the chewing gum and paints over a little pieces of art. I love the way he took something ugly and turned it into something pretty and funny to look at. I just hope it will not encourage people to throw away more than they already do.

And something completely different. A little bit of brutalist architecture on the Southbank, whose stark beauty I have always found fascinating.
