2021 Week 17: The Broomway

After a long wait, I finally managed to get my wish and walk the Broomway, or as it is unofficially called Britain's Deadliest Pathway. I booked it last year, however the pandemic kept getting in the way. At last we are out of the final lockdown and free to walk and travel further than just the local area.

As its unofficial name suggest, the Broomway is not the safest place to be, therefore I booked myself a space on one of the trips organised by an experienced mountain leader Tom Bennett. Tom knows the area and its history inside out, which makes you feel safe, and allows you to enjoy the experience of walking through an unearthly world of sand, mudflats and a vast expanse of water and sky. I have written more in a separate blog, so if you are interested, you can follow the link to see more pictures and read more details about it.
