One of my best friends used to say "Look into the mirror and start each day with a smile". I didn't realise then how right she was. Apparently it was scientifically proven that smiling can help you feel better. Just the simple physical act of putting a smile on your face can lead you to feel joy. And if that is true, then even a fake smile helps you feel happier, which then leads to a genuine smile, and your fake smile becomes a real one.
So sometimes you don't need a reason, sometimes the smile itself can make it much easier to face another busy day in the city.
